Original Fantasy Art
from Melissa

Let me introduce you to Melissa from Australia and her interesting original fantasy drawings gallery.

She often refers to her drawings as “trippy” which is quite suitable for this kind of artwork. Many of her drawings resemble a bit to psychedelic-like art, I would say.

These fantasy drawings are truly awesome. Thank you, Melissa for this great fantasy art collection, for showing it to us.

I would like you to make your own view on her drawings and make your own opinion. But the most important thing is, as always, you’ll find some inspiration for your own fantasy drawings.

If you are not very familiar with this kind of art, go to google and search for psychedelic art and see the variety for yourself.

I personally like the psychedelic art from 60s. An immense new world emerged in art during those few short years.

Many people simply cannot see any meaning in trippy or psychedelic art. The reason may be simply because trippy art is made as a result of a very personal, inner feeling and experience. It may be a dream, trance or hallucination and it is often described only in colors and shapes which seemingly shows no concrete meaning to the viewer.

For the same reason, you won’t find any special accompanying story under these drawings but if you are inspired, you are welcome to create your own story and write it into the comment under each collection.

Peace flower is very nicely made. I guess the basic idea was the shape of Poinsettia flower. Maybe I am wrong, so if you have any idea please add your comments under the drawing.

The idea of the dying Sun that is spilling itself over the Earth is brilliant and quite scary at the same time because no life on Earth would be possible. Lots of poisonous Amanita (mushroom) on the picture is a very clear symbol indication for extinction of life from the surface of the Earth. Symbols on this drawing were chosen perfectly to complete the message of this picture.

Drawing of the “eyeball” looks like as if this “trippy eye” suddenly and surprisingly popped up before you to watch closely.

I hope you will find many cool details and inspirations in Melissa’s fantasy art. Please get inspired and make your own original drawings or doodles. Your drawings need not to be necessarily in category of fantasy art. Any drawings you like would be OK.

Enjoy the Fantasy Art from Melissa
