Welcome to Dipanjan Dey’s cartoon sketches gallery. This is so cool,
because Dipanjan shows us his sketches among which many are in raw
forms. That is very valuable because here you can see the work in its
process.
If you are a cartoon drawing enthusiast, you should see this gallery and get as many inspirations as possible.
Dipanjan says he wants to be a cartoonist, and I hope he will keep on
his good work. I like very much his cartoon rendering of Mr.Bean.
I know that many young people want to become cartoonist, and they really
have a great ability and great sense for that. One of the best ways
would be to simply copy those cartoons we love. The very same it is in
music, you first play a song that exists, then you get inspired and then
you eventually end up creating your own songs.
It is the same with drawing cartoons as it is with other types of
drawings or paintings. In the beginning it requires to get really, and I
mean really very good at drawing skill. You absolutely must be very
skillful.
The drawing skill can be achieved by practicing, and practicing, and
practicing. And then again by practicing. Famous people like Wald Disney
and other famous cartoonists were working (drawing) day and night,
sleeping in office or drawing studio, many almost fell sick because of
overworking.
I am not suggesting you to do the same because those times are over. But
the drawing skill you absolutely must achieve. I hope Dipanjan Dey’s
simple sketches will give you some hints and inspirations.
