Petunia

Sweet Petunia was rescued by a dear friend of mine. While driving to work my friend spotted this sweet girl running along side a busy road. She pulled over, scooped her up and instantly they became attached. After many attempts to find her owner with no luck she was named Petunia. A visit to the vet found she had heart worms. After many treatments she is free of those nasty things! Now she is the queen of her domain, living well on a beautiful island. I wanted to show her regal demeanor in this drawing. Did I capture it? :)

Thanks Ivan for the great comment! I like doing different angles. Gives the drawing more interest. I look back at other drawings I've posted on your site and it's easy to see how practicing on details makes a difference. It can really bring your drawing to life. Takes a lot of patience but it's worth the work and the wait!

Lynn, this is amazingly realistic:) you've captured it perfectly! :) Petunia looks really lovely. I like the angle (frog's view) and how the fur on her face is worked out in such detail...WOW!
