My Hand

My Hand

I have played around with drawing off and on all my life (no classes sadly). In fact I love to draw but always find myself "to busy". Well,at 41 I have decided to get back to it and took some time yesterday to draw my hand. I didn't take much time with the watch so it needs work but it's a start. I would love some feedback and instruction/tips and really look forward to posting some future images in the future so I can improve.

:) wow, I love your drawing :) and I love your story behind it :) ...after such long idle time your strokes are nearly perfect!!! It doesn't matter if you took classes or not...but, if you have a chance and take classes it will skyrocket your RE-learning curve. You only need a very little to give you a huge kick and you'll be able to draw even more amazing stuff, I can assure you! Seeing your drawing, it is absolutely obvious that YOU ARE VERY TALENTED, so please follow your bliss!!! If you want to practice at home, I would absolutely recommend : Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, by Betty Edwards (Workbook also available) You can purchase it on Amazon or see more info on Betty's website: www.drawright.com Some time ago I took this course and I was amazed what incredible stuff I could actually draw :D our right brain abilities are just unbelievable!!!...so just go ahead and DO IT PLEASE.
