DRAWING FROM OBSERVATION

While observing a real photo, I was drawing it with gel pen on paper and in this style. It appears like engraving. I had to abandoned it since I made a mistake. Nevermind, it happens.

We artists are like producers of films. We appreciate the making of a film which takes many months or even years and the public has to enjoy it in some hours. What you said is absolutely right

wow, it looks like quite a meticulous work :) but from my own experience I know, that it is only a question of being accustomed to the drawing work, then we feel as if in a flow, the drawing is emerging rapidly in front of our eyes. For the artist, the point is to enjoy the process of drawing, painting, more than the finished picture. For the viewer (customer) the finished picture is the enjoyment itself :)
