If you don't have a protractor.

I wanted to hang a string of Christmas lights on a wall in the shape of a star. To start I measured my light string, and divided it by 5 to decide how each of my 5 directional lines would be. Then just follow the third example using a protractor or template to make the angles each the correct 36 degrees.
If you don't have a protractor, simply go to google images and type "5 pointed star". Select one and print it. Cut out the star and you have the exact angles you need (36 degrees).
