Drawing a 5 pointed star

I have used your suggestion above for drawing a 5 pointed star using the protractor to measure the angle of 72 degrees and then using a pair of compasses marking off the next four points.

I have also printed off your solution and find that both mine and yours show that not all the segments are at 72 degrees?

In other words it does not work, I know it should as 72 X 5 = 360.

I was hoping that there was a solution using just a pair of compasses.
